UPDATE: April 2020 First Communion Families!

1st Communion 2019b.jpg

We have some exciting news for all of you – we have scheduled a First Communion weekend for September 26th and 27th, 2020. Our new pastor, Fr. Matt Simonar, will be celebrating the Masses with us.

You will have the option of choosing what Mass you wish to celebrate, up to a limit of up to 8 students per Mass at this time due to our occupancy restrictions and the fact that we need to leave room for other parish members to attend Masses as well. For this same reason, we will be limiting the number of people each family can have at Mass to 10 including your immediate family. If our directives change and we can open the church up to more people by the time, you will be the first to know! We will also make sure we have a video of the Mass available and hopefully a live-stream as well.

Here are the things I need from families by September 1st:

  1. Select a Mass time and let me know. You can simply respond to this email. Choices are 5:00pm Saturday and 8:30am Sunday (10:15am Sunday is FULL).

    • Sign-up will be first come, first serve up to the 8 student limit.

    • I will also need to know how many people will be with you (10 total or less, your immediate family must be included in the 10) and if you can be seated as a group as part of your “quaranteam” or if any will need to be socially-distanced.

  2. Students and one parent will need to join me on a virtual preparation/rehearsal call in early September to go through the final details. These will be one-on-one sessions and should only last about 15 minutes. I will send out a sign-up link for times in early August.

  3. Families will need to be sure their First Communion books are completed and will need to share them with me on our virtual preparation/rehearsal call.

If you have any concerns about these plans or your family's needs, please reach out to me. This is new territory for us all! I am currently working remotely during the summer with kiddos at home, but am available by email, text, phone, video chat and even in-person by appointment.

We are excited and hope you are too!
