What is Discipleship Formation?
It is important for anyone who has been baptized and wants to be a follower of Jesus to grow in their journey. We are all at different stages of the faith journey, but the Catholic church has been around for 2,000 years and has resources and information for all ages and stages. Discipleship formation is exactly that - learning about Jesus and his followers in order to imitate Jesus more fully and bring Jesus into the world.
Here at Nativity, our discipleship formation starts with Churchtime for our youngest members and moves through grade-level and family formation. Along the way, we provide processes and tools for sacrament formation for First Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation. For adults, we offer all kinds of speakers, small groups, and online formation opportunities. We encourage you to look through some of our offerings here and then visit our bulletin or parish office for more information.
Learning to follow Jesus is a lifelong adventure. Our K-12 students do this through many opportunities, but primarily through our school-year grade-level learning. Led by other members of the parish, our young people learn about Jesus and the church through prayer, projects, learning tools, song, video and so much more in their weekly sessions. Additional opportunities include church practices like reconciliation, Stations of the Cross, celebration of church feasts, and intergenerational nights.
Nativity is also pleased to begin offering online Family Faith Nights beginning in 2019. This tools will be online video based with opportunities for families to gather and share about how they are growing in their faith journey.
Sacraments are also an important part of the journey and more information can be found below.

Green bay area catholic school system (GRACE)
A whole new learning for a whole new world. At GRACE we grew from the traditions of Catholic education and created a forward-thinking, high-tech, high-achieving, faith-based school system whose primary focus is individualized learning. Through strong parenting, your child inherited kindness, faith, curiosity and ambition. Through GRACE, we want to let these qualities flourish in the likeness of Jesus and ignite a passion to excel. While each of our schools is unique in its personality and curricular focus, we all share in the benefits of a GRACE education.
Each of our schools offers an individualized faith-filled learning experience under the GRACE curriculum and accreditation, in partnership with our 23 parish partners.
Weekly each school celebrates mass in their community – Link to the 2018-19 GRACE Schools Mass Schedule.
All GRACE schools also offer early childhood (EC) education. Please contact the school for details on it’s specific early childhood education offerings.
